Actor J.W. Cortés suffered a fall while filming a chase sequence for the feature film Sugarfields yesterday. Cortés was shooting the final scenes of a grueling 9 day schedule when he fell mid-scene while pursuing co-star Mark Castro. The producers were quick to act and rushed J.W. for treatment and director Michael Biggam was later quoted as saying:

J took a slight tumble and we tried to take him to a doctor immediately, but being the trooper that he is, he manned up and completed the scene, putting us right on schedule. The whole team sends their love and well wishes to J.W. for a speedy recovery
