Big thanks to the team at 870AM De Todo Con Todo for featuring the Sugarfields producers on air this morning! We had a great time talking about the project and hope that people enjoyed listening! We will post the show online as soon as it is available!!
The mystery surrounding Sugarfields, the independent film shot in Puerto Rico directed and written by Michael Biggam and David Mondin is beginning to unravel.
New images from the production confirm that French actor and singer Julian Ernesto Figueroa will be playing Padre, the conflicted priest. Filling the role of Juan, the films ultimate protagonist is new comer Jerry Aviles. Both were involved in the student uprising against the government in 2010 and 2012. Protesting against the axing of 37,000 public servants, initiated by former Governer Luis Fortuño.
Both actors are said to be incredibly excited about the project and have begun rehearsals with the directors Biggam and Mondin.
Sugarfields is scheduled to begin principal photography this month until April 2015.

To say that Bill Callahan is an influence of mine is a slight understatement. Formerly performing as Smog, he crafted the lo-fi bedrock to many peoples ideas of loss, loneliness and love. Bill is playing tonight at Yugong Yishan, and the Live Beijing Music team will be there. Hope to see you there too.

Found myself killing some time in the Gulou area a few weeks back and had the pleasure of checking out Chengdu outfit The Hormones with the one and only Foukographer at Temple – a tag team if I ever saw one. The female-led dance punk outfit were on tour promoting their EP Elephant, and gotta say, they were quite impressive. Girls got chops.
It certainly helps that the band is entirely made up of women, fresh into adulthood, which adds a certain innocence and vulnerability to the dark wave that creeps into their music. And having backing vocals that isn’t some dude crooning – always a plus in my book. Check below for more and get over to Foukograper’s photoset for some red-hot photos of the band.
Last night the Cereprods team were lucky enough to be invited to meet the mythical and legendary winner of 3, that's THREE Superbowl's, Jerry Rice, during his tour of China to promote the National Football League. Spirits were high as we relived some of Jerry's career and amazing feats in the name of sports.
Held at Beijing's Kerry Center, we had the chance to interview Mr. Rice before the event and discussed the Chinese tour so far, Jerry's life after the big game and, of course, those dancin' shoes.
Recorded as part of the first episode of our new show: Sporting Season: China Edition, watch this space for updates and the interview itself.
Holder of 36 NFL Records, all time leading scorer of touchdowns and arguably the best player to ever don an NFL jersey: Jerry Rice, is in Beijing to promote the NFL and Cereprods' Mike Biggam will be interviewing him today!! Everyone in the team is supremely excited about this and will post the results soon!
